Creating the Wall of Generosity
The past four week went nothing that I expected. I thought my partner and I were never going to pull this off because we had such a big idea . The first week it was all planning which was insane. We worked brainstorming our idea and sending out letters to our mentors. The second week we got our mentor to accept and got guidance. I just felt so nervous not knowing if we were going to pull this off. The third week we gathered our materials thanks to my partner and my teacher. Then came the last week, village fest was coming and we still need to complete our project and make something for village fest. My partner and I painted the wall and got our fest project complete. I really enjoyed this project because it boosted the way I feel about generosity and learned more about teamwork to get a goal done. It was great to see our project turn out beautifully.

Photojournalism Practice: Story of "my" life
What I wanted to do to tell a story was to make it about me, but that is just too simple. Then I just had the idea to tell that story but put someone else as the place in the story of "me". I volun-told my guinea pig Bandit to ace the acting role.

Photojournalism: Night Lights
2/11/15: Ronald McDonald House
During the trip to the Ronald McDonald House, these pictures were taken from my group when we were in the kitchen cooking. These photos were taken by Hannah Coleman, I didn't get much of a chance to because I had gloves on with cookie dough and brownie mix.

The Photo I have chosenI chose this photo because it shows us actually making cookies. What really stands out to me in the photo is the gloves and the stove. The gloves really stand out and become a big focal point in the photo also showing action putting the audience in the moment.

2/6/15: Letting in Generosity
For the better off in this project, I feel like it will make a big change in my life. I noticed that almost every day that I have not done one single generous act, I am not a generous person and this project can help me get that feeling of being generous. Often I see that "I am the one that needs helping," really limiting what I have been giving out and contributing by forcing my own problems while I try to get rid of the problems at the same time. But my life is already fine! I have recently visited a preschool which really opened up my view on what generosity means to me.
The preschool was small enough, I went to a pretty big religious preschool when I was young (I barely religious at the moment), I enjoyed it a lot. There was a church, I loved everyone there and there was one hell of a playground, life was great. The only thing that I ever complained about was the next time a get a new toy or video game, but I couldn't tell what the kids we volunteered for had the thought of but they really enjoyed our company. I volunteered there by playing with the two year olds and also unpacked and put stickers on books that belong to the school library, the books were also donated. As I looked through the window I saw many of the other volunteers passing by the window, being trailed by preschoolers. Playing tag, running around and just a bunch of horseplay. Later I realized that the Preschoolers were so happy because most of them didn't have a real "male figure" in their life, they don't have a father. They were able to look up to most of the people in our class and be able to open up to us. They are really people who need a little bit of caring, generosity and some TLC. (Tender loving & kindness).
